Google, Intuit Deal
Intuit and Google have struck a deal which will simplify the manner in which small businesses can now place their business and products online, starting in the QuickBooks 2007 products.
According to Michael Arrington (TechCruch), who attended today’s conference call, Google CEO, Eric Schmidt, says that Google will give a $50 credit to small businesses in an effort to move the 50% of QuickBooks users that aren’t online, online. Businesses without a web site will be given a simple “notecard” site.
It’s the equivalent of Intuit developing a shopping cart solution — now, within QuickBooks, product-based businesses will be able to export all of their products into Google Base and set up shop!
